I've been busy working on Laura's Nursery and wanted to show you one of the projects I just finished. We removed these wall sconces so we could paint, but with their outdated globes and brass finish, I just couldn't see putting them back up in this sweet nursery. Because I'm cheap and love to repurpose things, I decided to update them, rather than buy new ones.

First, I took off the globes, cleaned up the brass, then used painters tape to protect the electrical.

I picked up a few shades at Goodwill for $1.99, some ball trim, flower trim and white spray paint. Here's how they look now...

The flower trim was used to hide the screw holes that held in the glass globe. I think they turned out pretty sweet. I can't wait to show you the whole room- Painting is finished and we're ready to clean, organize and decorate. Hope to have the big reveal on Monday! This will probably be the day of Laura's Big reveal also- As she will be induced. So many wonderful things to look forward to. Love, Kelly
