Trash To Cash Wednesday!

Did anyone else have a slow week on Ebay? Part of me is not surprised since Thanksgiving is tomorrow and many people are on the road or just really busy. Let's take a look at the top sellers. This women's Ralph Lauren size 3X career top sold for $10.00These J.Crew size 8 tall (talls always do well!) sold for 11.05.These Chico's travelers size 1 brown crop pants didn't sell the first week they were listed- this week they sold for $17.51. This reminds me that all items should be listed at least 2 weeks at full price. So, what was this weeks top seller?

Women's size S black Under Armour tights... Sold for $21.50! If you ever find Under Armour, snatch it up. It's very expensive to buy new and is a great resale item. Here's this week's summary...

Ebay Profits:$313.05
Craigslist Profits:0
Costs: 50.00(clothes), 53.04(ebay fees), 26.42 (paypal fees)
Total Profit: $183.23

When I have a slower week I have to remind myself of what it was like when I first started Week 1 total ebay sales (60.02) Week 2 (156.91) Week 3 (162.58) week 4 (80.86) and week 5 (166.25) It always makes me feel better to go back and read those first "Big Challenge" posts. The other good news is that usually when you have a slow week, it's followed by a BIG week! I'm planning on it. Let us know how your ebay sales are coming- that way we can celebrate and commiserate together. Love, Kelly

  1. hey kelly! I'm a devoted follower of the blog! love you guys! oddly enough i had an awesome week! last week was my tough week! i have a question for you. do you wash the clothing that you buy if they have stains? i used to sit and scrub out stains for hours. now i just write in the description if there is anything wrong with it. do you think ppl. tend to not bid if its says that there is a small stain on the item? do you think i should go back to stain killing? i would love to hear your advice on this! thanks!!

  2. Becky,
I would definitely remove the stains. I think it will stop people from bidding- However, lately I have been finding so many great items to sell that I usually pass on those that have stains (unless it is something extraordinary) because It really does take a lot of time. So glad to hear you had a great week!

I'm expecting this week to be veerrry slow. :)

I too pass on the stained stuff. Not worth my time, in most cases.

  7. This week surprised me with pretty decent profits. I sold a pair of men's jeans for $46.00. That makes it worth it right there.

  10. I also had two slow weeks in a row, but had little listed, so I'm sure that's part of it. However I have a bunch listed over Thanksgiving and ending Sunday evening. Already there are two sales, because I took advantage of the current free BIN listing. Yay! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  12. Anoymous,
I do not use Turbo lister. Mainly because I have a MAC and my understanding is it only runs on PC's- If I had a PC, I would definitely use it. The idea of being able to send all my listing in at one time would allow me to list at a more preferred time of day and would allow all my listings to end at the same time. I'm so glad to hear you're selling again.
