The Rewards of Ebay

As many of you know I sell on ebay in order to earn money for the extras: trips, new tires, remodeling projects, birthday gifts, etc. After earning the money to take our family of 8 to Florida for 10 days, I wasn't sure what my next goal would be. Sometimes those decisions are made for us- like the car needing new breaks, or a bill for unexpected dental work and in my case a really slow computer. It was time to update my Mac. Normally, I wouldn't want the top of the line- "more memory and speed then you'll ever need" said the apple store employee. But when you work hard and ebay pays off, why not splurge a little. So here it is... The imac i7...For a mere $2500 (with tax and a few extras) this little beauty could be mine. What to do, what to do? Beef up my ebay sales- that's what I'll do. I listed like crazy for 4 weeks and now I'm proud to say, I own the imac i7...
27 inch screen!
You can pull up two web pages and fit them side by side. My favorite part though, is everything is wireless...

I can sit on the other side of the room with my keyboard and type away.
The imac came with a wireless mouse, but one of the extras we purchased was the track pad (the thing on the right) This is the actual mouse. It works like a laptop and has all sorts of little tricks (like if you use two fingers instead of 1 it knows you have two web pages open and you can work on each one, without individually clicking on the page- I'm sure that's clear as mud-) I love my new piece of technology and I love the freedom ebay gives me to make this type of a purchase. So, what's the new goal? A camera! We have a canon 5d professional camera, but I need a pocket one that I can carry with me and catch all those spontaneous moments. If you have any suggestions let me know and if you've ever thought of selling on ebay- start NOW! Who couldn't use a little financial freedom? Love, Kelly.

  2. That's it! I am taking pictures of things I no longer need/want and going to ebay. I see how well you do and there's not reason not to try. I would love to finance some of the extras this way. I am so glad I follow your blog, because each time you post something, you are motivating me.

  3. You are such an inspiration...you need to teach an online Ebay class. I've been reading your Trash to Cash posts from the last several weeks. I'm heading to Goodwill tomorrow to see what's out there that might sell!
Love your computer! Way to go!

  6. I am SOOO Jealous....How I wish I could have a Mac. My computer is like the slowest thing known to mankind. What are some tips for selling on Ebay, and what on earth do you sell? I would love to be a SAHM for when I actually become a mom. Help a sister out? :)

  9. Love the new iMac. I don't have one, but I do have a wireless mouse and keyboard also. Love 'em! And the camera idea is definitely a good one for me. We could use a new one, too.

  10. Cool! You've really inspired me too. I've been selling much more since I started reading your blog. I need to formalize my goals though so that I can reap some rewards like you do. My goals are all wishy washy in my head and I never know if I've met them or not. My next is to get overhead lighting in my living room which I don't have. Will cost a few hundred with the fixture....Ready set go!

  11. I love your determination! Maybe you could add to your business by becoming a 'personal shopper' for those of us that don't get to the thrift stores?
