Halloween Fun!

Last night, under an almost full moon...
We partied! It was our Mother/ Daughter Halloween costume party for the 8-11 year olds in my church. I've been one of the activity day leaders for several years and it's always fun to plan the annual Mother/Daughter and Father/Daughter event. It was a costume party...

Here's my eleven year old and I dressed as Senior and Seniorita. All of the mom's and daughters got their picture taken. For our first game we gave each mother/daughter combo either a Halloween joke or the punchline. They had to wander around trying to find the other half of their joke. If you'd like a list of the silly (clean) jokes I used, leave a comment with your email and I'll send it out. There were super cute decorations...These are just pumpkins decorated with ribbon (use push pins to attach). They were actually made by the 10 and 11 year olds and their leader. We feasted on Icky Intestines (Spaghetti), Anti-Vampire Bread (Garlic Bread), Spooky Salad and Dead fingers...These were made by my sweet friend Dawn (Thank you!) We also had Batty Cupcakes...These cute party circles were a free download from Peppertown. I just used a 2 inch scallop cutter to cut them out.
I made the super easy batty cupcakes- I borrowed the idea from ldsactivitydayideas

Our witches brew was 1/2 7-up, 1/2 Hawaiian Punch and a 5 pound block of dry ice. We had a Candy guessing jar and played a fun game of Elves, Wizards, Giants...Mother against daughter! In the End the moms won! Elves, wizards and giants is a game similar to rock, paper, scissors- except with a big group. If you want directions just leave me a comment with your email and I'll send them off. Our Mother/Daughter party was a hit- I love the Fall and last night was our first chilly weather! Hope you're all enjoying your Fall. Love, Kelly.
