My buffet still hasn't sold- however, I do have an appointment this afternoon- keep your fingers crossed. No calls on the drum table- might be something I need to take to the shop.Although I didn't get my hope chest painted- I did sell it as is on craigslist for $55. I have to admit I was a little relieved to take it off the to paint list. My stools were sanded and tops painted cream- I just didn't get a chance to cut out the large numbers and then spray them black- hopefully later this week.
My posts received a nice coat of cream paint, but no distressing yet. Well, that's sort of depressing, so let's take a look at what I did finish. Pine table before...
Pine table after...
I love this martha stewart color: Yellow magnolia. You'll notice I used it on several pieces this week. Like one of my cupboard doors...
Makes a great chalkboard accent color. I got the other door all painted up in cream, but ran out of chalkboard paint- it may be because I got side tracked and made this super huge chalkboard as well...
This was an old mirror I picked up for $1.00 at a yard sale. The mirror happened to be backed with a piece of masonite, so that's what I used for the chalkboard! Here's a little side table before...
and after...
This little table screwed together in three places, so I decided to take out the middle piece to make it shorter and use as a riser on a table- great for parties. I modge podged a french style paper to the top. Here's my little ladder and shutter before...
and here's the ladder after...
This would make such a cute side table. The shutter got painted, but no photo. I've been a little under the weather lately, which is very unusual for me- so I'm trying to take it easy this week and let my body heal. I took all of my finished projects down to the shop- so I'll let you know how they do. Also, I haven't listed on ebay for months and have about 200 items of inventory that I was saving for summer- so it's back to the grindstone. I'll try to do an ebay update next week. My goal is to get 100 items listed this week and 100 next week- and then I think I'll be engaging in a semi-permanent ebay vacation. I've got a lot of irons in the fire lately and feel like I need to let a few things go. With all the new fees and policies ebay seemed like the most logical choice. Let me know what you got done last week. Love, Kelly.
