Here's a good look at the knobs Mr. Right chose.
A view from the top...
I definitely need to sell this piece. I need to recoop the $110 for Florida and make a few bucks too. With a $40 investment in knobs (2 are for the nightstand) I'm in $150. What do think I could sell it for? Please leave your vote in the comment section. One of the benefits of pricing it a little high is I get to keep it a little longer- but were leaving for Florida in 2 weeks and I for sure need it to sell before then. I'd love to hear from all of you- resale experience or not. Don't feel any pressure just because I love it- Give me your honest opinion. Let's see if we can get 50 comments by Tomorrow. Come on, it'll only take a minute. Pretty Please...With sugar on top...Thanks. Love, Kelly

ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I vote that you wait until you have the nightstand ready and list them both for $200!
Peace!
Edie
I'd list it for $200 or $225 all by itself. It's stinkin' cute. Do you have a fb page? Put it on there. Put it on Craigslist....you'll sell it!
ReplyDeleteThat will sell in an instant. Wished I did not live so far. I would buy it for my daughter's room. Thanks for sharing. I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteAnne-Marie
I have the night stand and two dressers, one with mirror in this same set. It was given to me about 13 years ago. Love the new look and I might have to paint mine. Please let us all know what you sell it for. THANKS
ReplyDeleteNo need for buyers remorse - it turned out great! I bet you'll sell it in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteYeah I was thinking $200 for it my itself. Its flippin gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWould you be so kind as to share what paint you used on this? Im asking b/c we were given a desk for the girls room thats the same kind of furniture and Im so afraid of messing it up! I want to do it right just as you did here.

I don't want to see you sell them either! But if you have to.........I would wait till the nightstand was done and list them both for $350 and maybe come down to $300. It is solid wood furniture! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteMost certainly worth at LEAST $200! This piece is extra special!
ReplyDeleteomyg i LOVE this!!! WOW. how do you finish it? (the wood?) i have a small nightstand table that looks a lot like yours- i just don't know what to do with it!
ReplyDeleteSomeone will buy for $300. They don't make furniture like this anymore. Maybe even $400 for the set. Let them jip you down. It is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteJaime
Great makeover!! Its really stunning. I would hate to part with it, but I think I would ask ~$250 and barter from there. I would think you could get at least $200 for it!
ReplyDeleteFor the set I would ask $350. Absoulutely beautiful!! Great job!
ReplyDeleteStart at 300 that way you can come down if need be. Thanks for this post you just convinced me to paint my bedroon furniture.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking closer to the $275 mark and then coming down no lower than $250.
ReplyDelete~Just Jen
For the dresser alone I would say $200. Add the nightstand to it I think you could go $275-$300. It's beautiful! Great job.
ReplyDelete$225-250. I want a dresser & desk in this style soooo bad.
ReplyDeleteahhh i totally forgot to mention- please grab my award button on the rightside of my blog! i just made it so you are the first to have it! :) it's 'livin da vida mocha' award for being SUPER creative! congrats!!
ReplyDeleteI would easy think people would pay $300 but you could always be flexible :) It is so beautiful!!! Great Job!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it - but I'm like you, my furniture budget is low...You did totally inspire me to paint my buffet though - Can I ask what paint you used?
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking at Lucky Star Lane!
It is so beautiful !!!And so well made ! Definitely ask $400 for the set and may be come down to $375-$350 (and not a penny less !!!)
ReplyDeleteWait! I thought you were looking for YOU. I'd say SCORE! and keep them. How long did it take you to find them? Are they what you were really looking for? How patient are you to look again?
ReplyDeleteI'd say $250 It looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely but I'm so sad that you're going to sell it because it's so lovely :(. I'm with Jennifer of the Magic Brush on the price though :) Good luck, I'm sure it will sell as you did a fab job on it! If I lived there I would buy it! *hugs from conroe, tx!
ReplyDeleteit looks great! i love the knobs you chose and it looks so modern in its new black outfit!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful transformation - I'm crazy about those knobs.
ReplyDeleteI'm hosting my first blog party this Friday - I would love it if you would link up this project.

Girl I have not a clue what you could sale it for...I never look at furniture unless it's antique...sorry but it turned out just wonderful girl...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteThat looks so great! I love the distressing and the knobs. Wonderful picks! Good luck with the sales!
ReplyDeleteOk, you're not gonna like my answer. I don't want you to sell it. It's WAYYYYYY to pretty and wonderful. Can't you ever just keep something for yourself?
ReplyDeleteOk, fine, if you MUST sell it, I'd definitely go in the 250 range.
Here's my 2 cents... Don't part with it until you find a buyer who loves it MORE than you do--and is willing to say so with their wallet!
ReplyDeleteThe 'make-me-sell' price should be exactly that--the price where you can't afford NOT to sell it. (At least $300 for the set, IMHO...)
But I really think you should keep it. :)
My vote is list it for $325 for the set or separately for $275 & $85 respectively...I am positive you can get it! It is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletePeace & Love,
~Barb~
Ahhhhh...soooo PRETTY! I would go $250-300. Happy NTT!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
Oh it's gorgeous and the paint finish you did is just perfect. Love all the details and the knobs are wonderful too. Fantastic. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love it! It looks so great and don't you feel even better now at how beautiful you made this look!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely a stunning transformation! I'm head over heels to! So gorgeous...and the knobs are great too!
ReplyDeleteI have six kiddos as well, Kelly! You two have a gorgeous blog!
ReplyDeleteYou're crazy to sell it. It's a keeper! Jackie
ReplyDeleteFlorida will be fine....keep it BUT if your determined, do the nightstand and sell them for 250.00 not a penny less.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and all the fun things you do with your "treasures". I would keep it!

ReplyDeleteI love this! I'm a PHX craigslist girl too & think that $200 to $250 would get it sold fast.
ReplyDeleteDang girl! YOu are strong! I would not be able to sell that. It turned out soooo great! Be sure to ask $200 for the dresser and more for the nightstands.
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow. I have that same furniture in my girl's room. I have the dresser, nightstand, desk, and hutch. I am so totally going to do them over just like yours. They are so adorable!!! I think you could sell the dresser easily for $300.
ReplyDeleteholy crap. i literally GASPED when your post loaded. the dresser is STUNNING. the knobs alone are gorgeous, but paired with your transformation.... wow. i agree, you could sell this beauty for a pretty penny.
ReplyDeleteoh it is so cute. and the knobs are adorable.
ReplyDeleteIf it were me, I would sell the night stand as a night stand or end table and keep the dresser for myself and call it good. : ) But if you must sell them, definitely $250 for the set, but price it a little higher so you have some wiggle room if you like to do that sort of thing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! What a transformation!! Really nice. I am having a party on my blog...Centerpice Wednesday and would love to have you participate. Come on by and show your stuff.
ReplyDeleteKarin
Fantastic job! I'd list the dresser alone for $250. You really took this piece up a lot of notches on the style chart!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm actually salivating-they're beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow - these would be super hard for me to party with! I am now going to have to keep an eye out for a similar piece...it is just beautiful. I would start at $275-$300 and then you can come down a bit. Thanks for linking up to Be Inspired today!
ReplyDeleteChelsea
Kelly, I can't imagine it looking any better. It's soo cute.
ReplyDeleteWow! You guys did it! 50 comments. Thank you so much for the support. I'll be featuring the nightstand on Thursday and will reveal my asking price. For those of you who asked, I used Rustoleums Semi-Gloss 2x coverage black spray paint for this piece. I didn't prime because I did mucho sanding! Thanks again for all the wonderful advice.
ReplyDeleteWOW...I can't tell you HOW GOOD that looks in black...but you prob. already know that huh? hehehe BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDelete~Bridgette
This is beautiful! You did such a great job with your finishing. I'd say at least $300.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the Creative Therapy session at Life in the Pitts!

Gorgeous!!! I'm featuring this beauty at the POPP Spotlight tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Hello - I am a first time visitor of your blog. I really love how your dresser turned out in black. It looks gorgeous. I would say, ask for $225, see what the buyer offers, then go down to $190. That's only a $40 profit but, in this economy, people don't like to spend a lot. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteBest regards,
Gloria

Wow! That is incredible! I saw a dresser similar at the thrift store two weeks ago but did not have $50 to purchase it! :(
ReplyDeleteYou did a good deed too probably helping someone get their rent paid!
Hugs Anne
Gorgeous! Let us know if you ended up selling it!
ReplyDeletexoxo,

Really beautiful! You should ask at least $300 for the set. There's a lot of hard work in that, you did a great job! Blessings! Linda
