Trash To Cash Wednesday and A Linky Party!

I took a few chances this week and it really paid off!
This Women's New With Tags Ann Taylor Size 12 Hot Pink Silk Dress was $2.99 at the thrift store- Why? Because it happened to be missing a button. fortunately, it was a new with tags dress (originally $129.00) and there was an extra button in a little baggie attached to the tag. I used my very limited sewing skills- replaced the button, and it sold for $21.50. Another risk was this Women's Vintage Size 12 Orange Pleated Dress...
I don't normally specialize in vintage clothing, but this dress was so cute! I only paid $1.00 and although it was missing it's belt (which I noted in the description) it still sold for $31.50. I'm not ready to switch completely over to vintage, but in the future, if I see another cute vintage item, I won't hesitate to buy it. I made over $500 this week with my clothes on ebay. I have a lot of people ask how many items I list to make what I make- I've set a goal to list 50 new items a week- I always list everything I buy each week (unless it's out of season) so there have been a few weeks where I simply didn't have that many items, but pretty consistently I reach my goal. So, let's hear how you're doing. We'd really like to get this party going and we so appreciate those that take the time to link up. It's fun to see new blogs and get to know you. I promised to post a few pictures of my upcoming estate sale in Chandler, Arizona- look for those on Thursday! Be sure and link up your trash to cash stories, recipes, projects, etc. etc. Love, Kelly.

  1. Would love to be part of the linky party but I don't have a 'trash' website, only a family website that has nothing to do with trash. But, I'd like to read others trash websites that join the linky party. How to do it? Or is it impossible?

  2. Oh, and Laura, I miss your posts! Please post more often. When reading your whole blog, I loved the stories of your family, not just your 'trash' finds and sales. You are a good writer.
