My Dear Trash Very First Linky Party

It's the very first My Dear Trash linky party and I'm a little nervous (but much more excited).
The linky will stay up for a week, running October 14 thru October 21.
Share anything you've done with trash; what you've found, made, sold or just plain love.
We can't wait to be inspired.
Here's a taste of my latest find, but of course it has a story to it.
When the counselor and I went to California this summer, I purchased a bag of sand toys at the toy store.  Do you want to guess what was all the rave?
A cheap, little, brittle, plastic purple toy boat.
Every boy of mine wanted it; from 10 years old and down.
It wasn't pretty.
Last week while at a yard sale, we were blessed by the toy boat God's.  A nice man offered my Mayer all the plastic toy boats he wanted for $1.00.
Of course, Mayer picked them all. Isn't it sweet to think I'm raising my own little hoarder.
I'm happy to say there's plenty of boats go around.  Here they are floating in a little batch of water that pools up on my patio when ever we swim.  Reef keeps the other half of them in the sandbox.
Now, it's your turn to share your trash.  Don't be shy.
If you link up, please grab our button on the side bar to add to your post and be sure to become a follower.
Leave Kelly and I a comment and let us know if you like this idea.

  2. Oh dear, I am the wrong one for this linkup. I usually pay full price for everything because I don't have the time to search for treasures and I don't have a creative bone in my body.

  3. My son would love the boats. He would pretend they are floating in the mulch around the bushes in the yard.

  7. I used to live at garage sales and such when I was younger, but now I tend to do all my shopping by catalog!

Maybe I need to go back and relive some of those moments. Hunting for treasures was fun.

  8. We had a garage sale. My son made $130 in less than an hour. I made $7.00 for the whole day. Then my husband went to Good Will.

  9. I love finding treasures in other people's junk piles. My favorite discovery was a $5 woman's trench coat. It looked just like new.

  10. Oh, I love this. My week is beyond insane and I barely have time to get my AT's even read. I will come back on a week that is not so nuts and link up with your clever idea!

Thanks for the interesting stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's letter "D".

    A+
