The Big Challenge Week 8

Week 8! Not that I'm panicking, but I've passed the half -way mark and only have 7 weeks left to raise 4,000 for Florida! Ebay was helpful in getting me closer to my goal. This week I listed 41 items and had 22 relists. Here's the top sellers...

This Donna Ricco New York Size 10 Silk Dress cost .50 at a yard sale. It sold for $12.00

Laura is right about her overalls- These Calvin Klein size M sold for 11.00.

And these Ralph Lauren jeans that didn't sell last week were relisted for 2.99. They sold for $17.50!

Craig, on the otherhand, the love of my resale life, has failed me these last few weeks. The calls have slowed, the visits have virtually stopped- Why Craig? Why? My only sale this week was this little tykes wagon

I purchased it for $4 and listed it for $25. However, I discovered it had a problem with one of the front wheels so I had to explain the issue and lower the price to $10. I received so many calls on this- One lady looked at it, but thought it had 2 seats, so she passed. Another lady, that I agreed to meet halfway (never do this, I repeat, NEVER do this) decided it was too big- But finally it sold for $10. Another issue this week was with ebay. One of my customers never received an item they purchased. It's not cost effective to do shipping insurance on clothing items so I had no options but to give a full refund. -8.00 from the profit column this week!

On a happier note (sorry if I've put you into a resale depression- welcome to my World!) I'm having a garage sale this Saturday! Actually, my daughter is having a garage sale for me this Saturday. Oh, I'll be there, but not until I've done a little trash collecting of my own. If you're in the area, stop by.
