Before I ever sold on EBay, I shopped thrift stores, brought home bags and bags of name-brand clothing and gave them away.
I had a plan. I always knew what would fit who.
Like Jennifer, my size 00 petite friend, Jennifer.
I’ve found her the best clothes. Ann Taylor, J. Jill, Banana Republic, once a pair of Versace Jeans.
Basically, if I hold it up and conceive there’s no way a grown woman could wear something so small, I buy it. The trash I find her always fits perfectly.
My sister Becky is the same way.
She’s gorgeous, a mother of two, and so petite I wonder which one of us was adopted.
She wears Limited too or Abercrombie & Fitch, from the kids section. A size 14 or 16 girl’s fits her great.
My brother Sam is a great athlete.
He wears the coolest athletic wear I can find like Nike, Adidas, Puma and the occasional cool J. Crew sweater. Hey, he’s not always on the tennis court.
My neighbor loves
I always find something for the counselor’s best friend, Eric.
Eric's so appreciative and always a bit surprised when I hand him a bag of name-brand clothes. And ladies, he's available. Check out how great he is with my baby.
I’ve had so much fun shopping for my friend, Chandra. Chandra and I go way back. I was her nanny for 8 years. We meet when she was 8 and I was 19. Now she’s 25 and I’m . . . excuse me while I clear my throat. You know, I have bronchial asthma.
Chandra just graduated from NYU and now has a great job in New York City.
She needs a new wardrobe.
A professional wardrobe!
And a new wardrobe she will get!
Occasionally, I ship dear trash to
She always stops by to see me and play with the boys.
And to try on about 500 articles of clothing. Check out this darling Free People skirt. She's a huge fan of Anthropologie. Who isn't?
She can only take back so much, so she stuff’s her suitcase with dear trash and away she goes.
I love you, Chandra.
I want to give things away to fans of My Dear Trash.

How sweet of you to do that. I'd love me some Ann Taylor. She has the most amazing stuff. I've only purchased something from her store once, since it's so expensive. I have a thrift budget, and so glad I learned to buy frugally before this bad economy hit.
ReplyDeleteAnn Taylor is my FAV!! I could use a "New to Me" Black Sweater! Thank you for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year & Artful Blessings,
