First I took it all apart- Tossed the painting and cardboard, but kept the wood the canvas was glued to.
Next, I printed out the first line of one of my favorite hymns- I used white paper- The color is just ink from the printer. Then I lightly distressed the paper with a sanding block.
A little mod podge later to attach the paper to the wood insert and a few coats on top to protect the finish and her she is...
I think it looks great in my $5.00 frame holder I picked up at a garage sale. Here's an up close- gotta love the details on this frame.
