This Weeks Garage Finds and The SWAP!

Friday was the Fraser Field Swap and it was a blast! Here's a picture as you walk up...There were over 50 swappers and let me tell you, they brought awesome stuff. The picture is a little dark, but take a look at the quality items....
It was so hard to decided what I would pick first. Here's my goodies...
Can you guess what my first pick was?
The black table. I'm in the process of redoing my entrance way and this will make the perfect side table. So what did I pick second? This giant, solid wood "B" for my last name. I went garaging Friday morning, looking for either a giant number or a Big letter "B" - I can't wait to show you the project I needed this for. (Think pottery barn and the antique soda crates I purchased a few weeks ago- I'll show you on Friday) Once everyone gets two picks at the swap it's then a free for all- how ever many items you brought- that's how many you can swap. Here's the rest of my finds...
These giant frames were made by lollyjane and will make great gifts.
I picked up the old slicing board for Mr. Right (he loves that solid wood man stuff) and the cute double bucket was just too cute to pass up! We had a great time visiting and it's always fun to put some faces with the blogs I read. If you missed this swap, be sure and sign up for February! Now, let's take a look at my garage finds...
Lots of rusty old stuff (you'll understand when I show you Friday's post) Let's take a closer look...
Mr. Right bought this huge piece of leather for $5.00 (again with the man stuff)
The old pulley was $12 (I know, expensive, but it was an estate sale and I really NEEDED it) the old apothecary bottle was part of a big pile of stuff I got for $10.00. The metal finial is actually old lamp parts from the 30's that have been glued together (I bought two) they were $12.00 each (another estate sale price) The old rusty metal basket was $5.00.Here's the other finial and a globe for $5.00.These old poker chips are either bakelite or celluloid from the 50's- love the colors. They were also part of the $10.00 pile. Two vintage silhouettes ($10.00 pile)Antique bottle caps, with the cork still attached- $2.00. Old wood handled screw driver .50The old bottles and whistle were also part of the $10.00 pile- this was our family's sale, so they made us a great dealYou know how I love my game pieces. This week I picked up 3 vintage scrabble games (1.00) each. The RSVP version is something I haven't seen before, take a look at the pieces...
Little wood blocks with letters on them (LOVE)! And Mr. Rights final purchase...
An antique adding machine. The final piece to the $10.00 pile (gotta love family) He took this all apart, cleaned it up and now it actually works- just needs a new ribbon. As you can see the theme this weekend was "Vintage". Hope your weekend was great too. Love, Kelly.
