Craftastrophes!

Some days I should just climb back into bed, pull the covers over my head and wait until a new day begins. Yesterday was one of those days. It began with my intention to blog. I had the perfect project to show you. I had purchased wood fruit from Goodwill on dollar day. I also purchased a beautiful solid wood bowl from a garage sale for .50- At first I painted the fruit all white- then decided this was a major craftastrophe and so added some color. I took pictures along the way and loved the final result. However, when I went to download my pictures they were gone, vanished. I guess I need to mention that I'm now using Mr. Right's high dollar focus it yourself, totally out of my league Canon 5d camera. Why, you ask? Because when I was taking before pictures of a really amazing old school chalkboard project I'm working on, I set my camera on the back bumper of Mr. Right's truck only to remember it after we had made a trip to home depot. I'm sure it's in pieces somewhere with all my beautiful before pictures! My day continued with many crafting mishaps- until finally I gave up, ordered pizza for dinner and ended the day by watching The Bachelor! So, to prove I'm not a total blogger deadbeat I've added a list of all the projects I'm working on that will eventually make it to My Dear Trash (Look on the right side of our blog). I try to create everyday- some days I zip through my list, blog, make bread, serve others, clean the house, do laundry and dance a little "I'm unstopable" jig. Other days (more frequent than I'd like to admit) I spill paint, break Mr. Rights tools, give the baby M&M's, forget an important meeting, let the dishes pile up, and wallow in self pity over a bowl of icecream while watching the Housewives! I'm not the only one, right? Well, here's to a new day. A day where I hope to finish one of the projects I've now listed for you to see! A day where the baby may still get some M&M's, but I can also do a little jig. Here's an after shot of the fruit make-over. Hope you enjoy. Love, Kelly

  1. You exhaust me just reading your lists. I'm going to get Hyrum some more M&Ms and take a nap (granted, the M&Ms are potty training tools, but I may have to snitch a few myself!).
