Great finds this weekend! Here's a peek...Let's take a look at prices:
This Eiffel Tower is over 2 1/2 feet tall and was just $5.00, The oval frames were 1.00 each.
This french style nightstand was $10.00 and the wreath 1.00
Another 1.00 frame and 1.00 wreath. A vintage volkswagon metal car .50, books .50, teak tray 2.00.
And just in case you're not sick of my cupboard door projects, I picked up 4 cherry wood doors for $5.00!
And this was 1.00- I say "This" because I don't know what it is. I thought it was a garbage can, but when I opened it, there's a removable circular metal piece- maybe so you could make a fire in it and cook up some steaks???? It has a sticker for $21.99 on it, so it must be something cool- If you know what it is, I'd love for you to leave me a comment. What'd you find this weekend? Love, Kelly
If the removable metal piece has 2-3 little cutouts on the side, it's probably an ice bucket. That's what it looks like on the outside.
ReplyDeleteThe bucket is probably for removing hot ash from a fireplace. Once cool, it can be lifted from the bucket and thrown away.
ReplyDeleteThe ?white desk blotter with diamonds and lace is making it difficult to read the writing in your blog.
ReplyDeleteWHERE do you live that you can garage sale YEAR round!
ReplyDeleteHere is what I think... it's a pot for tamales. You fill the bottom with water, place the metal base on top and that's where the tamales will be placed to be steamed cooked! Why don't you try making some before you sell it? ;D
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a pot for tamales, called a "tamalero". I'm married to a Mexican and we have the exact same one!
ReplyDeleteI love the tamale steamer - I have a thing about interesting containers though.
ReplyDeleteI wnat to steal, literally, steal that EFL tower.
ReplyDeleteIn India, almost all houses have at least 2-3 of these (in last pic). We call it DRUM and store wheat flour, uncooked rice and some store water is this. My mum has 1 bigger version of this and 3 in same size. <3
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how do you always find so much cool stuff?! I live in Mesa, and never find anything good at yard sales! Am going to the wrong neighborhoods? What is your secret?
ReplyDeleteI love that eiffel tower In fact I was looking at eiffel tower lamps last night on ebay (too high) You are so lucky
ReplyDeleteYou guys are brilliant- it definitely is a tamale cooker, now that you told me and I googled it. The really great part is that we host a street Tamale party on Christmas Eve Eve and I need something to steam the tamales! This is perfect!
ReplyDeleteNatureGirl: We live in Mesa Arizona
Nancy: We do the same route every weekend, consistency pays off.
Seriously.....WHERE do you garage sale? The stuff you find never ceases to amaze me. This week was particularly awesome. In other news...what happened to your page. The writing is in wierd place and hard to read.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Your stash rivals mine! I'll be posting my weeks find in a photo tomorrow... for the first time I really scored!
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough mirrors, ya know? love em love em love em
