A Baby Shower Gift

I have a friend who's having her first baby, a little girl. Her style is simple and earthy and she's decided to do her nursery in classic Winnie-the Pooh. Her shower was scheduled during our Florida trip, so I wanted to whip up something special before I left. It started with this picture I purchased for $1 at a yard sale...I painted the frame Rustoleum's, Heirloom white, then added a little Ralph Lauren Glaze to bring out some of the details. My friend spotted this quote online and knew that's what she wanted above the crib...
"You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." -Christopher Robin

With a little help from my cricut machine, I did a reverse vinyl (I painted my board brown, applied vinyl, painted over the vinyl with fresh guacamole colored paint- then peeled the vinyl off) Here's the finished product...
Here's a look at the frame detail...
I can't wait to find out what she thought! Love, Kelly
