Front Door Friday: Three Step Ladder

What's front door Friday? Well, if you've been following, you know I'm working on painting the exterior of our home and redoing our front door/entrance area. There are so many little projects involved in order to get the look I want, so I thought I'd feature them for the next few Fridays. Here's the little step ladder I picked up last weekend for $2. I've decided she will make a great piece for the entrance area. Here's the before...I just did a light spraying of Rustoleum's Heirloom white- no priming or sanding ahead of time.
I wanted to add a little something so I printed out numbers on my cricut and used the back piece as a stencil.
Here she is all finished up with a little distressing...
I think she'll blend in nicely with the new look. Can't wait to show you what I'm doing next. Have a fantastic weekend. Love, Kelly

  9. Just when you thought you've seen every not-so-cute item white paint can transform, someone comes along and shows you once again that no man's trash is really trash because you can make just about anything adorable by painting it white! In case that isn't clear, I love it! I would never in a million years have seen the potential in that ladder. Love the numbers too. Just that little something extra really makes it work.

  18. I have the exact little ladder all weathered and full of potential. Can't wait to follow and see what you do next and how you tie them together. Now I have to get going, to pick up more freebies (Craig has been great this weekend). 3 $10 tables, free table and chairs, free small wood cabinet. The garage is going to be full of fun and I will be painting all because of your inspiration. eBay has been successful, let's hope Craig will too! Husband probably wouldn't understand except, I tell him about your stories and he has been pleasantly surprised at my copied success. So... I bring home more trash and freebies! :-)
