Entry Table Make-over

Here's the before picture of the oak entry table I picked up this weekend for $25. I had originally planned on painting all of the tables cream. However, when I discovered I was out of cream colored paint, I turned to my trusty ol Black.I'm so glad I did. Here's the after picture...
I decided to distress the edges a little. Here's a view from the top...

Today she'll go on craigslist. How Much? When I purchased it, I was thinking $95, but now that's she's all done, I'm thinking $125. Let me know what you think. I'll be showing off the little round tables later this week, so be sure to check back. Love, Kelly

I agree with Katie. You are so talented! I love reading about each treasure you create!

Tell us again how you did it? Sand, prime, paint and spray painted the legs?

Hope that you are getting really close to meeting your Florida goal!

  4. Edie,
Thank you for the encouragement. For this piece, I just sanded the top, spray painted the bottom (legs, and detail on edge) then rolled the top (3 coats). After the paint dried I gave it all a light sanding. Thanks again.

  5. I LOVE it, and I think the black looks better than cream. That's just me though. The thing that gets me is the infinite amount of patience it requires to paint furniture. Kudos to you, 'cause i am NOT patient enough to wait for things to dry properly, oh, and sand. So, I'll just continue to ooh and aw at your work.

  6. Gorgeous table, nice shape too. I'm a bit partial to black. I just painted one up black to use in my entryway as well. Nice job.
