The Spitting Mom and My Top EBay Sells of the Week

When I was 19 years old, I had a horrible case of bronchitis. I was living in my own apartment, working as a nanny and didn’t have health insurance. I was certain I could fight it on my own, but when I started going delirious from all the coughing, I went to a doctor.

But the damage was already done to my bronchial tubes.

For almost 20 years now, I’ve had bronchial asthma. It’s not as bad as real asthma.

I don’t have attacks.

I mainly have shortness of breath due to constant mucus that builds up in my bronchial tubes.

Because of this constant build-up, I am a spitter.

Image found here.

I have to spit or I can’t breath.

It isn’t my best feature, but I can hawk a loogie like nothing else.

The other day I was doing the dishes and the desire to spit came on pretty strong.

I started the guttural clearing of my throat and spit into the garbage can.

Chandler had a friend over, who just at that time was walking through the kitchen.

And he gave me the weirdest look.

And I realized, “I need to use some discretion here.”

I can’t help but use my personal experiences and memories in my writing. I have no shame.

I am currently working on the novel, “Stories of a Some-what Successful Junk Collector.”

The mother in the book is a bit quirky. And she spits.

Here are my top EBay sells of the week.

Excuse me while I clear my throat.

Abercrombie & Fitch jeans are a cultural phenomenon. These size 6 jeans were found at Mesa Thrift and sold last week on EBay for $31.00. Aren't they cute.

You know about my love/hate relationship with J. Jill. Sometimes it sells, other times it bombs. I found this J. Jill long jean jacket (size 14) at a posh yard sale. The owner was super classy, just like all J. Jill lovers. I posted this $1.00 purchase for $24.99 and it sold to a lucky J. Jill fan, who lives someplace other then our 80 degree Phoenix, Arizona.

I knew this Ralph Lauren White Large Sweater would be a great sell. I rarely find them, especially in this great of condition. It's like new. It sold for $25.59.

If you're out shopping at a thrift store and you see anything Harley Davidson, grab it. It always sells. Ebay has a huge fan base of Harley Davidson fans. I found these jeans at Goodwill. Enjoy, to the lucky buyer who paid $24.99 for them.

It always amazes me when I find a shirt this clean, this nice, and it has the tags from just being picked up at the dry cleaners. So, this shirt was either donated by a dry cleaner company who had left over items that hadn't been picked up (this actually happens often), or some well-to-do lady has all her clothes professionally cleaned before donating to Goodwill. This Ralph Lauren Size 1X gorgeous shirt sold for $29.00.

Ebay was rocking last week. I had great sells and a high quantity of sells.

Next week I'm starting give-aways. Become a follower and you'll be qualified to win. Have a happy day.

  1. I love J Jill. I wear J Jill. Does this mean I am "super classy"? J. Upchurch also loves J Jill and I consider her "super classy". Infact we have purchased and wear some of the same items. This wouldn't be a big deal except that I am 40ish and. well. she's not. Does that mean that I dress like a mature super classy lady or she dresses like a young supr classy? i seriously don't know.

  2. I am cracking up at the thought of you spitting in the trash can in front of one of Chandler's friends! That kills me! I remember being like 8 years old, on my Grandpa's ranch and having my brothers trying to teach me how to properly "hawk". Thinking about it makes me gag and laugh all at the same time! You're my fav. Way to go on Ebay this week! You deserve the success!
